Family Air Experts is a Silver ICA Anglers sponsor for the 2026-2027 school year, backing the student fishing program at Independence Classical Academy in Fort Pierce.

At the Silver level our logo appears on the club shirts the students wear and on the tournament banners that travel with them through the season.

About the ICA Anglers and Independence Classical Academy

Independence Classical Academy is a tuition-free public charter school on South Jenkins Road in Fort Pierce, founded in 2017. It runs a classical liberal arts program built around scholarship, character, citizenship and civic responsibility, across a lower and an upper campus.

The Anglers name is not decoration. ICA students are known as the Anglers because the school built its outdoor education program around fishing and conservation, alongside clay shooting, archery and agricultural education. Students compete in tournaments through the school year, and the club also takes part in an annual beach clean-up, which is a fitting thing for a group of young anglers to spend a morning doing.

Two Years Running in the State Fishing and Conservation Challenge

ICA’s student anglers took first place in the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s School Fishing Program Fishing and Conservation Challenge for the 2024-2025 school year, and then did it again for 2025-2026.

The challenge is not a weigh-in. Schools earn it through conservation work: cleaning up local waterways, practicing catch and release, building monofilament recycling bins so discarded fishing line does not entangle wildlife, and passing what they have learned on to younger students. Winning it once says the program is good. Winning it twice says it is built to last.

What Our Silver Sponsorship Supports

Sponsorship money goes directly into running the club. According to the school, it helps cover t-shirts, tournament expenses, prizes, equipment and events across the school year.

Those are ordinary costs, and they are exactly the kind that decide whether a student club can operate at all. A fishing club needs tackle, entry fees and a way to get everyone to the water. None of that happens without people covering it.

Our Silver sponsorship puts the Family Air Experts logo on the club shirts and on the tournament banners, which means our name travels to wherever these students are competing.

Why a Fishing Program Makes Sense on the Treasure Coast

Plenty of schools field a baseball team. Far fewer build a program around fishing, and on the Treasure Coast that feels like an oversight everywhere it happens.

This part of Florida is defined by water. The Indian River Lagoon, the inlet, the beaches and the flats are where local families already spend their weekends. A program that teaches students to fish here is teaching them something they can use for the rest of their lives, in the place they actually live.

It also teaches patience, preparation and reading conditions, which are not bad habits for anyone to build early.

Local Businesses Supporting Local Kids

The club’s own flyer puts it plainly: let’s support our local kids and small businesses together. The sponsor shirt is covered in names of Treasure Coast companies, and that list is the point. A student wearing it is wearing a map of the businesses that decided this club was worth keeping.

If you run a local business and want to be on next season’s shirt, sponsorships and logos are due by October 1, 2026. The school is taking sponsor inquiries directly, and there is room at every level.

Supporting Students Across the Treasure Coast

Supporting the ICA Anglers sits alongside the rest of our work with local schools. We are a Gym and Field banner sponsor for John Carroll Rams athletics, a Gold sponsor of Fort Pierce Central girls basketball, a sponsor of the St. Lucie County FCA clay shoot, and we contributed to classroom resources at Fairlawn Elementary.

Family Air Experts is a family-owned company serving Fort Pierce and communities throughout the Treasure Coast. Supporting local students is one way we try to return the support local families have given us.

You can follow our ICA Anglers updates through the season, along with the rest of our community involvement, and read more about why homeowners choose Family Air Experts. If your own system needs attention while you are out on the water, you can schedule service online any time.

Tight lines, Anglers.
