Federal Tax Credit (IRS 25C) — Ended December 31, 2025
This credit is no longer available for new installations. The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (Public Law 119-21, signed July 4, 2025) ended the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit for any system placed in service after December 31, 2025. The amounts below are kept for reference so customers who installed on or before that date know what they may still claim.
- Heat Pumps: up to $2,000 — only for systems placed in service on or before Dec 31, 2025
- Central AC Systems: up to $1,200 — only for systems placed in service on or before Dec 31, 2025
- Ended: systems installed in 2026 do not qualify. The test is when the system was placed in service, not when it was paid for.
- Had to be your primary residence
- Claimed on IRS Form 5695 — for the tax year the system was placed in service
Lennox Cool Cash Rebate
Lennox frequently offers seasonal Cool Cash promotions for qualified systems installed by Premier Dealers. Family Air Experts is a Lennox Premier Dealer, meaning you get direct access to these exclusive rebates.

Utility Rebates (FPL & FPUA)
Both Florida Power & Light (FPL) and Fort Pierce Utilities Authority (FPUA) offer rebates for upgrading to high-efficiency central air conditioning systems.
- FPUA: $500 on high-efficiency central A/C — requires 14.3 SEER2 or better, limit 2 per customer
- FPL: $200 per qualifying unit — applied as an instant credit on your invoice, not a mail-in rebate
- FPL serves most of the Treasure Coast; FPUA covers the Fort Pierce Utilities Authority service area
- Must have an eligible utility account with the provider

No. The federal 25C credit ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025, so a system installed in 2026 does not qualify. Utility rebates from FPUA and FPL and Lennox manufacturer rebates are still available, and we can confirm which ones you qualify for.
